H4 9003 JTX HID Kit 70W 12V 24V XENON Hi/Lo suits TOYOTA Hilux Landcruiser. This is a brand new JTX HID Kit in 70W######xA0;H4.
Essentially our HID kits are globe upgrades. You can fit this kit into######xA0;any pr of headlight that take H4 globes and it will transform your######xA0;night driving. HID is many times brighter than Halogen or LED and will for ever more be the supreme leader in achieving maximum brightness from your lights. ######xA0;The team at JTX have been HID gurus since######xA0;HID first came out some 20 years ago.
There are literally tens of thousands of JTX HID kits out there and year upon year we have taken every opportunity to make them better and better. What we have now is a premium product we are proud of.
2 x JTX Premium 70W######xA0;CANBUS Ballasts. 2 x Ballast mounting kits. 1 x JTX H4 HID######xA0;Wiring Kit - manages high and low beams. 2 x JTX H4######xA0;Alloy Globes.
12V######xA0;to 24V -######xA0;The default is 12V. The globes have alloy bodies and are######xA0;not plastic.
Totally waterproof - these ballasts and globes will even operate######xA0;under water. Ballasts are AC Digital for faster brightness and longer globe life and CANBUS so modern car computers are happy. Otherwise we supply the default (and most common) 4300k if we do not hear from you. This number is just a colour and not brightness. Some people think a bigger number must be brighter but in fact they become bluer and darker and ironically less light if anything. The heat generated by our JTX globes is only about 15% more than the same watts in Halogen so 35W draws about half the power of factory halogen and is still cooler so no threat to plastic lights. Our 55W JTX HID Kit pulls about the same power and generates the same heat as factory 65W Halogen globes yet so much brighter. Our 70W kit is not that much hotter than factory lights yet put out twice the light of our 35W kit which remember was many times brighter than your old halogen to begin with.
Our JTX Ballasts were developed to not produce static in your car's radio and we cover that in your satisfaction guarantee. ######xA0;The entire kit is######xA0;100% waterproof, there are no fans and no long warm up periods######xA0;especially when changing between######xA0;high and low beams. The globes are######xA0;exclusive to us######xA0;- we identified where the normal H4 HID globes were failing and addressed these with######xA0;our factory. The following improvements were made.Internal improvements to connections, gases and materials. Can be separated so you can fit the light's rubber protective boot with ease. Can only be clicked back together just 1 way - eliminates being mounted upside down causing light scatter in low beam. The cheaper globes would wriggle loose and the globe body would fall out while driving and set fire to the rubber boot or anything######xA0;combustible######xA0;it comes into contact with - that was primarily the start of our quest for the ultimate HID globe.
The alloy body is CNC machined aluminium and will not rust or corrode. It will not crack, split or fatigue like the plastic ones once subjected to heat. HID######xA0;creates light by passing a current or constant spark of electricity across a small field of xenon gas approx. The size of a pea. To get electricity to jump across from one electrode to the other you need a lot of volts. The more volts, the better the arc or constant spark. This kit comes with ballasts (power packs) which convert your power to 23,000 volts. By its very nature high voltage current will seek the path of least resistance and want to short out where it can - that is its job in the globe. So, it is essential that the wires, plugs and globes be the best possible quality - that's where######xA0;JTX shines (pun intended). With HID there are no fragile components unlike incandescent globes - Incandescent globes have a very thin curl of wire that heats up when power goes through it. The globe is filled with an inert gas (no corrosion) and commonly that is Halogen or even Xenon.Watch that some sellers trick with terms like Xenon Bulb to imply it is HID but it is still just incandescent with its very fragile bit or wire. And the higher the watts the thinner that wire gets and more fragile it becomes and so it is common to hear that 100w Halogen globes are blowing too often especially on rough roads. You do not get that with our HID. In fact to stop our globes from working you have to physically break that glass ball with the Xenon gas inside so even in a collision where lights are smashed it is common to see the HID kit still works. When sparked up that small field of Xenon shines insanely bright.
What makes it better than LED is for that small area it is significantly brighter than any LED chip. LED try to make up for it by having a bigger chip or even a cluster of chips but that takes up more space and now much of the source of light is no longer in the focal point of the light. The LED result is that you have very bright lights with lots of side of the road vision (so people say they are great) but it is mostly out of focus and so the distance is not achieved and the light is pretty average where you are looking on the road. With our HID kits our small source of extreme light is in the precise location where it should be for this type of globe and you have excellent focus and brilliant bright lights. In our JTX H4 HID kits the difference between high and low beam is not brightness but rather the direction the light shines. In low beam the bright spot (xenon filled field) is shaded and only reaches the top half of the reflector so light shine downwards. When you engage high beam nothing changes with the bright spot except the stalk of the globe pulls inwards so the bright spot is no longer shaded, light now also reaches the bottom half of the reflector and shines upwards as well as downwards. ######xA0;The role of the shield at the far end of our H4 HID globe is to prevent light emitting straight out and up from the globe so all forward light is managed by the reflector of your lights. This prevents light scatter and upward light in low beam. It is why conventional Halogen globes are painted silver on their tips too. But what that means is that low and high beams are both the same brightness and that matters when it comes to how bright low beam should or should not be.35W is an awesome low beam and it is what Mercedes, Audi and BMW run - so very bright and effective. 55w is also deemed acceptable on the city roads but some 50% brighter than new and expensive European cars.
70w is right out there and not suited for everyone. 70w HID is easily 2 times brighter than Mercedes and will prompt a reaction from oncoming traffic but for those who live in remote areas and need to see kangaroos and have little traffic they are ideal. Our next step up is 150w but they would only suit off-road applications where there are no oncoming cars. But as it happens our JTX globes are up for the challenge. Conventional HID harnesses have a black controller box (there are relays inside) and they plug into the wiring kit.
The problem is the connections in the plugs heat up and even corrode and you get a voltage drop and burning out in the plugs. Our JTX harnesses not only have beefed up relays and heavier wires but there is no plug, and all the wires go into the controller box.
These globes are brought to you having stood######xA0;the test of time and thousands of customers. H4 is basically the only globe style that does both High and Low beams in the one globe. If you are unsure of what globe you need, it's a very safe bet if you can see if that globe does low beam and also high beam as well. In low beam the light is shaded from the reflector so light only bounces off the top half of the reflector and shines forwards and downwards.. In high beam the bright spot of the globe is not shaded and so light now also reaches the bottom half of the reflector which shines light upwards.
All glass globes require that you don't touch the glass with your fingers. The reason is that oil from your skin gets super hot on the glass when the lights are on and this can cause the glass to break.
It's something our Dad's tell us when we are kids. It still applies these days too. The H4 base is######xA0;recognizable for being circular with 3 prongs poking out of it. H4 globes are "twin-beam" globes, meaning they are both high and low beam. They have a 3-pin connection allowing for this. A common question I get is will they harm the lights in any way. We feel that's partly due to the UV blocking glass in our JTX globe but that it was a bit of myth in the first place also.
Plenty of headlights have faded on their own with factory 50w globes. But rest assured######xA0;it doesn't happen because of the JTX globes. The more power you supply######xA0;to your globes the brighter and whiter they will be. Did you know that most people can get their old globes to be brighter just by upgrading the wires to the globes. At JTX we have a wiring upgrade harness that makes that process plug and play.It can make your old globes brighter but it can also cope with really bright 130w globes for extra brightness. Most cars can't cope with greater than 100w globes with their old wiring and so this harness is the answer to that problem as well.
######xA0; Refer below for the link to our JTX wiring upgrade harness. JTX Lighting offer H4 in the following options.. ######xA0;JTX Lighting offer these globes in Halogen######xA0;and HID and here's an explanation for each..Is incandescent meaning power runs through a very fine wire which glows hot. It is surrounded by Halogen gas which not only contains no oxygen so######xA0;there can be no rusting######xA0;but Halogen shines brightly when heated. (High Intensity Discharge) trumps everything with exceptional brightness and very long range.
The light output of HID is amazing. HID works by passing a constant spark or arc of electricity across a field of Xenon gas. To achieve such an arc the volts are increased by ballasts which transform 12v or 24v to 23,000 volts.
By it's very nature power at those volts wants to short out and so it is imporatnt to stick with quality brands such as JTX when using HID to maintain reliability. Why we dont sell LED Globes. ######xA0;LED globes do not focus well in reflector style lights.
The bright spot of an LED globe is over too large an area and so most of it is outside the focal point of the light. That means light is scattered all over the place and not enough light is where you are looking. ######xA0; On the other hand, LED Lights can not be beaten as lights built for LED chips on circuit boards with projector lenses.
######xA0;We sell those too but they are not globes.
