This is a brand new premium grade JTX 70w HID Kit in 9006/HB4. Essentially our HID kits are globe upgrades. You can fit this kit into any set of spotlights which take 9006/HB4 globes. If your vehicle takes 9006/HB4 globes for this kit can transform your night driving. 70w is still good in vehicle headlights and will not melt or fade the lights.

HID is many times brighter than Halogen or LED and will for ever more be the supreme leader in achieving maximum brightness from your lights. The team at JTX have been HID gurus since HID first came out some 20 years ago. There are literally tens of thousands of JTX HID kits out there and year upon year we have taken every opportunity to make them better and better. What we have now is a premium product we are very proud of. 2 x 70w JTX AC Canbus Ballasts.

12V to 24V - Works for both 12 and 24V systems. 9006/HB4 metal base globes - not plastic bases. Ballasts are AC Digital for faster brightness and longer globe life and Canbus so modern car computers are happy. Otherwise we supply the default (and most common) 4300k if we dont hear from you.

This number is just a colour and not brightness. Some people think a bigger number must be brighter but in fact they become bluer and darker and ironically less light if anything.

The JTX globes in this kit have metal bases so as to withstand heat, never get brittle and crumble like cheaper plastic bases. The glass tube is narrow enough to fit lights without having to file the light out (a common fault with a lot of others). All JTX HID globes have precise location of the bright spot consistent with conventional Halogen globes so as to ensure perfect focus something LED globes dont do very well. The heat generated by our JTX globes is only about 15% more than the same watts in Halogen so 35W draws about half the power of factory halogen and is still cooler so no threat to plastic lights. Our 55W JTX HID Kit pulls about the same power and generates the same heat as factory 65W Halogen globes yet so much brighter.

Our 70W kit is not that much hotter than factory lights yet puts out twice the light of our 35W kit which remember was many times brighter than your old halogen to begin with. Our JTX Ballasts were developed to not produce static in your car's radio and we cover that in your satisfaction guarantee.

Also they are 100% waterproof and will run totally submerged in water. When it comes to mounting HID kits into spot lights some people ask if our JTX ballasts will fit inside certain spot lights. Many years ago we could do this but as we have developed our HID Kits to perform better, be more reliable and be brighter we have moved away from small. Nowadays we can not offer internally fitting ballasts unless we take a few leaps back and sacrifice performance, brightness and reliability. As such we need to settle for externally mounted ballasts.

Here's an explanation for each.. Is incandescent meaning power runs through a very fine wire which glows hot.

It is surrounded by Halogen gas which not only contains no oxygen so there can be no rusting but Halogen shines brightly when heated. (Light Emitting Diode) has come ahead in leaps and bounds and offers very bright light especially up close to the vehicle. The light source is over a larger area and so it spreads wide to the delight of most drivers but much of it is not in the focal point of the light and so doesn't travel great distance. (High Intensity Discharge) trumps everything with exceptional brightness and very long range. The light output of HID is amazing.

HID works by passing a constant spark or arc of electricity across a field of Xenon gas. To achieve such an arc the volts are increased by ballasts which transform 12v or 24v to 23,000 volts. By it's very nature power at those volts wants to short out and so it is imporatnt to stick with quality brands such as JTX when using HID to maintain reliability.
